The customer washed this cap at home, and the dye left it blotchy all over. There was also a pair of pants that we didn't photograph, but we treated those too.
If you want to wash items like this at home, we still recommend putting them in a fine-mesh laundry bag. It lowers the cleaning power a little, but that's better than not washing at all. It also cuts down on dye rubbing onto other clothes or leather-trimmed items as everything tumbles together.
After all, it's a designer piece, so it deserves a bit of extra care and effort. Otherwise, sending it to a cleaner is the better choice.
