The customer found us. At first we wondered why slides would need professional cleaning (our admin mostly wears basic blue-and-white flip-flops ^^")
Once the slides arrived, though, we thought: why didn't they bring these in sooner? @@"
The black marks on the front are mold. The roots had gone deep, in places all the way into the leather lining, so the order of treatment was tricky. We had to keep the leather and the outer fabric strong while removing the stains, and still preserve the original color and the comfort of the leather footbed. A tough one.

Dirt and Mold from Improper Storage

Because we had to preserve the feel and lifespan of the leather lining, some mold-removal methods couldn't be used, and the stitching on the soles was dirty too. So the options were limited. Items like this can't be cleaned at home; they have to go to a cleaner.

Repairing the Sole Edges

The soles hadn't been conditioned for a long time, and the footbed showed light cracking.
After light repair and conditioning, both the softness and the look improved noticeably.
