Black Grease the Customer Said Came from an Escalator??

When the customer told us, I was wondering how it got caught in the escalator. I was curious why it hadn't torn, but I also worried there might be damage hidden under the black grease, so we were extra careful while working on it.

With stains like this, many people want to scrub them off. But up close, that can leave the surface pilled, with broken, fuzzy fibers. So we went over it with an ultrasonic gun first, then used a special treatment to finish the job. The result came out really well, with no issues even in close-up photos :)
