Restoring Faded Color Around a Hat's Metal Buckle

When this hat came in, the area all around the metal buckle had faded.

We judged that the metal buckle was very likely the cause.

On top of that, the person who brought it in had used sodium carbonate to try to remove yellow spots on the hat, without realizing that the metal buckle needed extra care.

That's how this unfortunate result happened. There was also a little fading on the upper part of the right side.

In the end, we restored the color, as shown in the photos.
