For an experienced laundry, soy sauce is a minor stain. But if it's left too long, it gets a bit harder.

The difficulty is that treatment takes somewhat longer than for a fresh stain. It also depends on the type of coloring in the sauce. For example, some chili products that have been in the news lately contained the dye Sudan red, and those take a little longer to treat.

If you can't wash it out yourself, we suggest taking it to a nearby laundry as soon as you can.
